Terms of Service

All signers and witnesses will need to present a valid and non-expired government-issued ID such as a US driver's license, passport, or state-issued ID. Signer(s) understand the document(s) to be signed and must be willing and able to sign at the time of appointment. For general notarizations, ALB Notary does not go over the document with the signing party. We are not licensed attorneys and are not allowed to draft legal records and give advice on legal matters. Our purpose is to verify signer(s) with proper identification (directed by State level), signer(s) are willing and able to sign the document, and ensure the document has been dated, signed, and initialed accordingly.

ALB Notary requests at least 24 hours' notice upon canceling an appointment. If prior notice is not given you will be charged in full for the missed appointment.

If for any reason you, or the person signing the document, refuses to sign at the time your Notary arrives/meets with you, no refund will be permitted. However, you may cancel your appointment with 24 hours' notice for a full refund.

Regarding our remote online notarization services (RON) -- while many states adhere to similar standards, every state has its own specific requirements for online document notarizations. It is advisable to check with your receiving party as although RON is legal, it will always be at the discretion of the receiving party as to acceptance. If the notarization was executed correctly and at no fault of the notary, ALB Notary will not be responsible for rejected documents and no refund will be issued.
